A small operation that builds one thing properly
Invoice Local is made by Tap4order LLC. It is a small operation, and knowing that is more useful to you than a page of language about our mission.
No investors No ads No data sold
It started because invoicing tools are built for desks
Almost every invoicing product assumes somebody sitting down. A browser, a keyboard, an hour on a Sunday. That is not how a plumber, a locksmith or a window cleaner works, and it is why so many trades still run on a duplicate book or a spreadsheet they open once a week.
Invoice Local was built around a single moment instead: standing at a property with the job finished, one hand free, needing the invoice to exist before you drive away. Everything in it follows from that, including the decisions that look like gaps.
Why the free plan has no cap
The obvious way to make money here is to limit how many invoices you can send and charge to raise the limit. We decided not to, because charging a trade more for being busier is a bad deal for the person doing the work.
So the paid tier sits on presentation instead: five extra invoice designs and no watermark, at $4.99 a month. Volume is free at any level, and so are cloud backup and sync. The full detail is on the pricing page.
There are no ads, no trackers that follow you around the web, and nothing about your data is sold. There is nobody to sell it to that we would want to deal with.
What it does not do, and why that is a choice
A short feature list is usually a young product. Some of ours is, and some of it is a decision. Being clear about which is which seems more useful than a roadmap page.
- No card payments. Adding a payments layer means taking a percentage of your money, and we would rather charge a small fixed price
- No accounting. Books belong with an accountant or accounting software, not bolted onto an invoice app
- No automatic recurring billing. This one is genuinely not built yet rather than a principle
- No iPhone app yet. Android shipped first and iOS is separate work
- No import tool. A real gap, and the reason switching costs you a few weeks of adding customers as you go
A small team, which cuts both ways
Invoice Local is operated by Tap4order LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States.
Being small means support is answered by somebody who knows the code, and a bug reported on Tuesday can be fixed on Tuesday. It also means there is no overnight support desk and no account manager. If that trade off worries you for something as important as your invoicing, it is a fair thing to weigh.
What reduces the risk is where your data lives. Invoices are stored on your own device first, so the app working does not depend on us being awake. Cloud backup is optional and additive rather than a dependency.
Nothing on this site is invented
There are no customer counts, no star ratings, no testimonials with plausible first names, and no claims about how much faster you will be paid. Not because those do not sell, but because we cannot source them, and a page that has to be rewritten the day somebody checks is not worth publishing.
The same applies to the comparison pages. Every one of them names where the other product is better, and none of them quote a competitor limit as a number we cannot verify today.
Questions about the company
Is Invoice Local going to disappear?
Nobody can promise otherwise, so the honest answer is in the architecture rather than the reassurance. Your invoices are stored on your device, so they do not vanish if a server does. That is deliberate.
Who do I talk to if something breaks?
Email support@invoicelocal.com. It reaches the people who build it rather than a ticket queue, which is the main advantage of a small operation.
Do you sell or share my data?
No. There is no advertising, no data brokerage and no third party analytics that identifies you. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
The product is the argument
Send one real invoice with it. That will tell you more than this page did.
