Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 August 2026
Invoice Local is built privacy-first. Your invoices, customers and business details are stored on your device and never leave it unless you choose to create an account for cloud backup. We do not sell your data, and we do not show ads.
1. Who we are
Invoice Local (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Tap4order LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, United States. For any privacy question you can reach us at support@invoicelocal.com.
2. Our core principle: offline-first
When you install Invoice Local, all of your data, meaning your business profile, your customers, your line items and your invoices, is created and stored locally on your device. In this default mode we do not receive, see or store any of it on our servers.
Creating an account is optional and only needed if you want cloud backup and sync across devices.
3. What we collect, and only if you choose to
a) If you create an account (optional)
To provide backup and sync we collect and store:
- Account details. Your email address and an encrypted password, used to sign you in.
- Your app data. The business profile, customers and invoices you have created, so we can sync them back to you. This is your business content; we act only as a custodian of it.
b) Information collected automatically
When the app communicates with our backup servers, standard technical information (such as an IP address and basic request logs) is processed to keep the service secure and working. We do not use this to build advertising profiles.
The app also records your two-letter country, device timezone and language, so we can see which markets it is used in. The country comes from a single lookup when the app starts, answered by ipapi.co, which necessarily shows them your IP address. We do not store that IP ourselves, and if the lookup fails the app falls back to your device language. This is country level only: never a position, never a movement history, and never anything device GPS could provide.
4. How we use your information
| Purpose | Data used |
|---|---|
| Sign you in and secure your account | Email, encrypted password |
| Back up and sync your invoices across devices | Your app data (business profile, customers, invoices) |
| Send essential account emails (e.g. password reset) | Email address |
| Keep the service secure and prevent abuse | Technical logs |
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not make automated decisions that produce legal effects about you.
5. Service providers we rely on
We use a small number of trusted providers strictly to run the app. They process data only on our instructions:
- Supabase. Secure cloud database and authentication (backup & sync).
- Vercel. Hosting, so it serves the pages and the app you load.
- Resend. Sending essential transactional emails such as password resets.
- Google Play. App distribution and, if you upgrade, processing of in-app purchases. We never receive your full card details.
- RevenueCat. Keeping track of whether a Pro subscription is active. It receives the purchase and an account identifier, never invoice or client data.
- ipapi.co. One lookup at startup returning your two-letter country, described in section 3.
6. Payments
Invoice Local is free to download and use. If you choose to upgrade to Pro, the purchase is handled by Google Play under Google's own terms and privacy policy. We receive confirmation of your subscription status, not your payment card information.
7. Data retention & deletion
Data stored only on your device remains until you delete the app or clear it in the app. If you have an account, we keep your synced data until you delete it or close your account.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated cloud data at any time by emailing support@invoicelocal.com. We will action verified requests promptly.
8. Security
All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using TLS. Passwords are stored in hashed form. While no system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact support@invoicelocal.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Children
Invoice Local is a business tool intended for adults (18+). It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. International users
We are based in the United States and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. By using the app you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in these locations, with appropriate safeguards in place.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, provide notice within the app or by email.
