Contact support, and what to say so it is fixed in one reply

One email address, read by the people who build the app. Most things are resolved in a single exchange if the first message includes the right detail.

How to reach us

Email is the only channel, on purpose

Write to support@invoicelocal.com. There is no phone line and no live chat, because a small team doing both badly is worse than doing one properly.

We are in the United States, so replies come within a working day rather than within minutes. If something is genuinely blocking your invoicing, say so in the subject line and it gets looked at first.

What to include

Four things that turn three emails into one

The slow part of support is almost never the fix, it is the two rounds of questions before anyone can see the problem.

  • What you were doing, in one sentence, and what happened instead
  • Your device and whether you were using the Android app or the browser
  • Whether you are signed in, because cloud backup changes what we can check
  • A screenshot if anything looked wrong on screen. It usually answers three questions at once
Billing

Subscriptions are managed in Google Play, not here

Pro is a Google Play subscription, so cancelling, changing the payment method and requesting a refund all happen in the Play Store under your subscriptions. We cannot cancel it for you, because we are not the merchant of record.

What we can do is help you work out what happened, check whether an entitlement did not apply correctly, and point a refund request in the right direction. The mechanics are set out on the pricing page.

Honest limits

What support cannot do

Saying this up front saves you writing an email that was never going to have a good answer.

  • We cannot give tax, legal or accounting advice. The guides say where to ask a professional instead
  • We cannot recover data from a lost phone if you never signed in for cloud backup
  • We cannot chase your customers for payment on your behalf
  • We cannot issue a refund directly, because Google Play holds the subscription
  • We cannot add a feature on request, though we do read every one of those emails
Your account

Deleting your account and data

If you want your account and everything in it removed, the process is on the account deletion page. It is a real deletion rather than a deactivation, and it is actioned on verified requests promptly.

If you never created an account, there is nothing to delete on our side. Your data is on your device, and uninstalling the app removes it.

Before you write

Three things that are answered on the site already

Not to put you off writing, but these three come in most weeks and the pages answer them faster than we can.

How much does it cost and what does Pro add. The pricing page sets out both plans, what genuinely differs between them, and what Pro deliberately does not unlock. The short version is that Invoice Local is free with no invoice cap, and Invoice Local Pro is $4.99 a month for the extra invoice designs, no watermark and your own logo. Cloud backup is free with an account.

Where my data is and who can see it. The security page explains that invoices live on your device unless you sign in, what changes when you do, and what happens on a shared phone.

How to do something specific with an invoice. The guides cover numbering, deposits, payment terms, chasing late payment and disputes, and the trade pages show the wording each trade uses.

Questions

Common support questions

How fast do you reply?

Usually within a working day. There is no overnight desk, so a message sent late on Friday may be answered on Monday. Anything that blocks you from invoicing gets picked up first.

I paid for Pro and it did not unlock

Email us with the Google Play order number and the email you signed in with. Entitlements occasionally take a moment to sync, and if it is genuinely stuck we can see it from our side.

Can I ask for a feature?

Yes, and it is worth doing. We cannot promise anything, but the small feature set means requests are actually read rather than filed. Telling us what job you were trying to do is more useful than naming a feature.

Most problems are a two minute reply away

Write to support@invoicelocal.com with what happened and what you expected, and it will be looked at by somebody who knows the code.
